    Most of the test circuit will not present any problem for a 5 with 14 on. Diesel will be there as backup in case of problems and assist if required.

    I meant that it matched with the Early BR crest as well and will be in steam for the 50th anniversary of 1T57

    I don't think the climb from Whalley Viaduct to Wilpshire could be descibed as easy when even the local 2-car trainset has difficulty reaching 30 mph - but we'll see what Tuesday brings.

    I've just been told that the test run is going to be to Carlisle, is this a curved ball thrown to get us all in the wrong place???
    Does not seem really likely as the track charges for a start will be a lot higher, and what's the point, I would have thought the normal circuit was as demanding as is needed.

    It seems that the info was a bit off the beam, the person had confused the test run with next weeks tour... #-o
