On this coming Saturday (17th) it looks as though 6989 will be working. Does anyone have any insights into which part of the roster it will be on or is it pot luck on the day?

If is working it will be the A engine. But I’m not sure if it will be yet; check nearer the time.

If you're in a hard water area, that wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing and it'd make blowdowns smell so much nicer. ;)

I am booked on a photo charter with 6989 later this month , and there is still some uncertainty as to when 6989 will re-enter traffic, since they were still awaiting some replacement parts. I would suggest checking the roster nearer the time.

Add a drowned rat, or two, and you 'll have Bluebell vintage cider, ,
Does the railway have track in storage to extend the Ardingly branch, from its current length? through running I think would never be worth the expence, but saying that, having a connection into the main line, at both Haywards Heath, and East Grinstead could be marketed very well, especially for the dining train market,
for footplate days and ways, it might even be a way to offer footplate experience, without impacting the main operation, as the set could be kept separate from the main route.

In addition to what the others have said. I would recommend ringing the railway up the day or morning before and see.

    I kind of doubt it!

Our diagrams at the moment just say Set A, set B, set C and Loco A, B and C. Sets A and C look to be doing full line trips on Saturday and Sunday; Set B is a Sheffield Park - Horsted Keynes shuttle during the day; and does the evening trains on Saturday night to East Grinstead. (Set C seems to be the shuttle / evening service on Friday). No doubt all will be clear by the Saturday night when it is my job to put all the toys back in the box in the right order ready for Sunday morning ...

Fenchurch has passed its steam test today according to the Facebook page. Hopefully not long before we see it running trains - just a touch too late for this weekend!

Hopefully the repairs to the Hall are going ok and it will be fit to run from Friday?

The repairs are apparently dependent on the loco owning group being able to field volunteers to carry out the work, and they have not been able to this week, might be able to next week. Photo charter next week has been cancelled since too short notice.

What will seem likely then is 80151 running instead alongside the Q and O1
