Yes, one of our more entertaining days. Although the Hall was cleared right through to Mallaig, the local p-way suggested a physical check might be sensible at Banavie - and then all hell broke loose and the media had a field day! At least it spared NR the embarrassment that the swing-bridge had stuck open that day and all services (including The Jacobite) were cancelled.

There were few other restrictions to Mallaig, although for filming, we only needed to run as far as Arisaig, which was indeed the furthest point west that a GW loco has gone, without the aid of a ship. We did use the loco on The Jacobite a couple of times, when it went up for filming sessions, but we never really pushed the point. It never had any trouble with Beasdale.

On the move to Carnforth today, pictures on Facebook this morning of her on the M5 in Gloucestershire. Suspect it will be a multi-day process.

I believe last seen heading west on the M62, don't think there has ever actually been any confirmation that she actually went to Carnforth... Perhaps an invisibility cloak was deployed!

Actually, because your all muggles i assume, you have all had your memories modified, so wouldn't even know if you stumbled onto platform 9 3/4 and saw Dumbledore Hall, waiting with the 10.15 to Hogsmead.

One would never see Dumbleton Hall at the head of the 10.15 to Hogsmeade. Everybody knows that the Hogwarts Express departs at 11 on the dot!

Except for in leaf fall season when it needs banking assistance from a class 37 ;) it’s all in the Hogwarts Rail working Timetable :)

The express only runs as required, , the actual service train, is all stations to Hogsmeade ,
