40145 on 6 months hire to LSL.

    According to an email sent to CFPS members this evening, 40145 is heading from Bury to Crewe tomorrow for a six-month hire period to LSL. How they will use the loco I know not, but await further news with interest :)

    Well it’s already taken 37190 from Crewe to the SVR for test work, don’t forget 40013 has a contract with LSL too, and Crewe is sort of half way between, Bury and Kidderminster, I’d say this is quite a sensible thing to do.

    From the CFPS this morning...40145 is scheduled to take Green liveried 37667 from Crewe to Barrow Hill later this morning. Departure time from Crewe is expected to be about 08.30 hours. Return LE to Crewe at approx 12.20.

    Some sort of engine bearing problem by the sounds of it. Not the same problem as what it initially failed with though.

    That was the same year as 1015 came back (I wagged off college to go phot that at Blakedown on its test run in February btw) Still, Bloody Hell! :)
