    Tuesday 3rd July 2017 and LMS 8F No.48151 is seen hauling 'The Dalesman' over Ais Gill summit whilst returning to York.

    Nice one Stephen. Interesting to see the wind direction was totally different at KS to Carlisle.

    Indeed, back in the day (before the end of steam) we wouldn't have given an 8f a second glance, but now, as you say, it's grand to see one, in good nick and doing it's stuff.
    I remember 'Uncle Albert' (Seymour), he could always get the best out of it.

    From the West Coast Railways website:

    "the Dalesman trips are all nearly full. We only have a few Standard seats available on the 18th July, 7th, 8th and 15th August. "

    Great to see the success of this and the Fellsman, there's clearly a huge amount of interest in travelling with steam over the S+C
