    Just wondering if there are any Railway Plant groups in the USA?
    Things like Tampers, Regulators etc
    Trying to find out information on some 1970s 80s equipment of a similar nature here in the UK but derived from US.

    Try www.railroad.net it seems a large proportion of railroad employees use it, and might provide a pointer.
