It was there last year being worked on under scaffolding, now its gone. Does anyone know what happened? I was told the group ran out of money and it had been 'disposed of'.

Don't know but it would be a pity if it had been disposed of; we offered to buy it some years ago and I know that the lads at Brechin fancied it too.

There is some one of Wnxx who seems to be involved with it. I have sent him a PM, if he answers I will let you know.

A very speedy response from one of those involved:

"27007 is back at Alresford, at the back of the Belle siding. Some work was undertaken last year, but due to work on the owners other locos, its been put on one side until resources are available to address its bodywork to an appropriate standard."

Nope all is not lost, but quite a way down the pecking order it seems.
Thanks to the member on wnxx who answered the question.
