A family has issued a plea to thieves to return a miniature replica Land Rover that has sentimental value to them.<br />
<br />
Richard Nash built the tiny vehicle shortly before his death from leukaemia in 2007, so that his grandchildren had an heirloom to remember him by.<br />

But his son Philip Nash discovered his garage door was open and the child-sized car was missing from his home in Walnut Tree, Milton Keynes, on 28 January]]></content:encoded>

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Last night, 28th July 2024, the East Somerset Railway suffered a break-in and a substantial theft on P-Way material from Cranmore.<br />
Items removed included a substantial quantity of rail chairs, fishplates, bolts and other metal components. <br />
The theft involved removing a substantial secured gate and a large vehicle was used.<br />
I would urge everyone to be vigilant and to please report any items being offered for sale.<br />

Sadly, we have to report the theft of items from our Railway. A few days ago a number of replica GWR cast signs were taken from Hampton Loade and yesterday two Tilley Lamps were stolen from Eardington.<br />

THEFT - URGENT APPEAL - <br />
On the evening of 1st July we had a break in and a number of components STOLEN from storage for 34039 Boscastle, this has included a number of important components including safety valves, pins, motion, expansion links, bushes, brake components and pipe work. A full inventory has not yet been completed but it is expected that over £300K of components have now been taken and believed to be destined for scrap. <br />
If anyone knows any scrap...<br />

These were authentic advertisements which were commonly displayed around Britain’s railways.
