Given how off topic the 75069 thread was going maybe we can continue the interesting SVR loco related discussions here and hopefully in future post any news from the engine sheds to help eliviate the lack of an appropriate website. Locos I would like to see given priority for overhaul are 4930 Hagley Hall (like Broomhalla), ive never seen it steam. Also 7325, very useful and brilliant performer and 7819 Hinton Manor. All the above are appropriate to the line and haven't steamed for a while....

Can anyone shed any light on what the situation with this loco actually is?
I read on the Swanage postings that the loan deal with the B&W has been terminated,
and the loco has been loaned to the Swanage Railway till the end of the year

Several things give me cause for alarm,
1 the report says, the NRM is keen to see the engine RETURNED to operational Condition
So has it failed, and what is the nature of the failure

The Swanage railway already has a problem...
The projects vary from the awesome (Tornado) to the diminutive (GER Tank) but they all have their positive sides and hopefully they will all succeed. After some thought, I have decided to...
