      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I couldn&#039;t find a Health &amp; Safety Section (maybe there should be one if there isn&#039;t?), so I&#039;m posting here.  If the admin want to move it, that&#039;s fine.<br />

Anyway, we had a Health and Safety bulletin regarding welding come through at work, and I have seen it posted elsewhere.  So some of you may already be aware.<br />
<br />
Basically, in light of new information, welding has been reclassified as a carcinogenic operation due to the fumes given off.  Namely it can cause lung cancer and possibly kidney...<br />

I&#039;ve noticed that I seem to be getting more heat out of the coal this year. Our coal on the WSR has come from a Welsh open cast mine for the last few years. It&#039;s a little slower burning (actually slower to ignite) than the Russian stuff we had before but I&#039;m not talking about speed of combustion here. I&#039;m talking about weight (or shovelfuls) of coal needed per mile.<br />
