      <content:encoded><![CDATA[The only post I can find mentioning Pendon is in a thread from 2009 <a href="https://www.national-preservation.com/posts/293588/" target="_blank" class="externalLink" rel="nofollow">https://www.national-preservation.com/posts/293588/</a> so I&#039;m starting a new one.<br />

Pendon is not only, or even mainly, a model railway. It&#039;s model of a stretch of the Vale of White Horse (and separately of a couple of other locations) in 1930-ish. The village and the railway lines are imaginary but all the buildings and trains are accurate models of real ones from the area and period, except on a few special...<br />

It is with great sadness and after much soul-searching we have decided to close Pecorama, our well-loved family attraction, for the 2026 season.<br />
With the challenging economic climate and costs continuing to rise, the PECO parent company cannot continue to support the financial losses of Pecorama.
