A bit late now but it was on time through Dewsbury, :rolleyes1: We had been to visit a couple of our grandchildren, I was urging her to get into the car NOW, and we were driving through Ravensthorpe towards Dewsbury, I could see the exhaust going along................and just as we got to Dewsbury station.................the exhaust was clearing, and there it was.............gone. And I missed it. :rolleyes1:

The fireman might just possibly have been checking that water was flowing through his injector. (Witness the steam!)

She whistled before that far bend but the first few seconds had a big shake (probably excitement) so they got cut.

A wonderful sight though powering through a station I watched the twylight of steam on as a young boy.(The Red Bank Parcel Double headers !)

Thank you very much indeed to all the people who made this and other steam excursions possible, some of which you know yourself Ralph, I travel on when I can.

Thanks to you all for this!
I have had other things to do for most of this year rather than chase steam engines and to miss this go through Batley is sad indeed.

Will get back to it in 2012 I hope.
