    An interasting article and some nice pics. One error, though, the departmental coach is not the LNERCA's 3857. The coach pictured is a brake vehicle of some description and is onm an earlier turnbuckle underframe. One other point, 3857 is indeed being restored at Kirkby Stepehen, but work is still in the early stages - its about ready to receive new teak panels, that are in stock, but the interior hasn't been touched yet and there's a lot to do on the exterior yet.

    Yes I believe the coach pictured is 1930 built Dia 114 BTK 3669 (DE 320984) owned by an LNERCA member and currently under restoration near Bridlington.
