For those of you who don't know already - the random rantings of a slightly overweight shunt driver, together with (mostly) railway pictures, glorying in that most beautiful of railways, the Southern Electric.

For those of you who already know...
30,000 hits on my site as of today. Thankyou for you continued support and rude comments.

    Both are deeply heartening!

    Regards,

It started out as a joke about 18 months ago - and given it involves the random ramblings of a short fat shunt driver, and doesn't get advertised, and is completely free to run; I don't think that's too bad.

Hardly any surprise, you spend more time walking around this yard taking photos then you do driving trains Mr Potter!!

    Lies lies!
    Foul untruths!

I'll have you know that picture-taking, tea drinking and biscuit consumption came low down my list of things accomplished this week. They found themselves sadly neglected, folks. I had instead to concentrate on such vital railway pursuits as "hunt the toilet roll when you're half-way through a Number Two", "swear at the Juniper that failed after 30 yards for the umpteenth sodding time" and, of course, that perennial favourite "who's going up to the bakery to get the bacon rolls today?"

    Enjoy, folks.
Oh, and a low-key rant about night shifts, idiots from Nitwit Rail and the Evils of Beanfeast.

    Most kid, most kind.

    Latest Galleries:
    Doodlebugs & Ying Yings,
WTTC Qualifying from Brands Hatch (no trains but F1 cars and good looking women, which helps)
And a River Trip up the Thames.

Who said I'm obsessed with the railway?

Oh - and a respectful look at railway advertsing on the telly and a rant about bloody anoraks...
(Not that any of us normal people are anoraks...)

73 109 getting dressed up for her Grand Day Out

And very rare guest pictures of the reason 33064 was scrapped in 1997.

Oh, and a Blog entry suggesting the possiblity of commercial power generation using thickly buttered bread as a power source.*

    Enjoy!

*It's amazing what you can come up with when you're in a messroom with other bored drivers.

A few more odds and ends:

St Pancras International - with added Champers
    Rust, Slammers & Frost
    A small farewell to GNER
& Loads of stuff, some of which is loosely associated with the railway.

And various Blog entries that are sometimes nearly worth reading.
