A date for your diary, if you like riding on vintage buses. There are 2 Running Days planned for the May Day Bank Holiday weekend, operated by Quantock Motor Services. On May 2 and 3, around 12 classic vehicles from the QMS fleet will run free and fare-paying services from the Promenade, Minehead, right outside the WSR station. See http://www.quantockmotorservices.co.uk/qms-bus-rally/ for more details.

Quantock have now decided that ALL heritage journeys during the 2 running days will be FREE. Last year was confusing, with a mixture of free and fare-paying routes.

Up to 12 vehicles from the heritage fleet will operate and a souvenir programme and timetable booklet will be on sale during the event giving details of the routes and histories of the buses in use.

Due to staffing shortages, the event probably won't run after this year.

    See you there!

    John.
