Hopefully this is right area for this item.

My wife arrived Padd last night (Sat 10-12-16) for the 2230 Padd Bristol only to be greeted by Tornado, sizzling away in either plat 3 or 4. Mrs Devonbelle excitedly text to say cameras around the station, parts were barricaded off. Shortly before her train about 40 actors/actresses in 1940s garb arrived walking down the slope off Praed St, onto the concourse.

Check of real time trains shows the following -

2226 Southall Padd light engine. It ran 58 early hence Mrs Devonbelle saw same. I see it ran back this morning to Southall just after 0700 - light engine 18L. There was no vintage pass stock at Padd and no moves in realtime trains I could see.

    Anybody know anymore?

I hope they knew what they were doing with their costumes because when I was waiting for the same train, I saw some actors in 70s style station staff uniforms.

There seems to be steam being coming from various places, so looks in steam to me from that shot - no 'Assisting Diesel' in this case! Maybe Tornado was 'just taking its own weight' ;)

I was walking by to get my train and to take a photo there was a lot of shoveling going on, on the footplate.

They were not real, it was a CGI hologram projection.

Unlikely to tow with no steam at all as it's required for lubrication isn't it.
