    Hello,

Not sure if this is filed in the right place, but I'm looking into methods of printing my own edmondson style tickets, any ideas? I assume centrally printed somewhere, with my own dating press? Does anyone know of any working dating presses available at the moment?

    Thanks

If you mean having bulk quantities of identical tickets printed, then the West Somerset Railway have a printing machine at Dunster, and prints tickets for many heritage lines. However, if you are just thinking of having one-offs printed, I doubt whether they would be able to undertake this. Tickets are usually dated-stamped at ticket offices as they are sold.

Chris, I don't know of any, but I would look at railwayana sales and E-bay first.

If you have a small number that you would like date stamped, I am sure one of the WSR stations would oblige for a small donation.

Date presses and boxes of type are readily available at Railwayana sales. They don't usually feature in the main auctions, but appear in the Alpha Lots and on stalls.

How do they work? Can you still get the ink and number sets for them?
