An excellent and not too boozy day out - needed a bath on return home as Vic to Vic, head (judiciously) out doesn't half catch a lot of cack \:D/

Now - as discussed with certain acolytes - how's about a certain 8F, or even a 5X on a slightly lesser load a couple of times a year.

With tighter timings two rounds, and tie up with Northern, people from the Penistone Line could perhaps be accommodated - they certainly turned out in their hundreds to watch us go by

    Very nice shots there CP.
There seemed to be a lot of people at the lineside today, particularly on the Penistone section.

You can say that again Frank, several lumps that embedded themselves in my hat were obviously still hot and were well stuck. Excellent day out and fabulous weather as well.

Just had a shower! black as the fire back I was! enjoyed every minute. Bill Andrews and Albert Seymour were the drivers thanks to them and the other members of the crew for a grand day out!
2 slips on the bank at Barnsley from 45407 were brought quickly under control. Pocket rocket kept plugging away at the bank wonderful noise!

Hope there's a repeat as I'd definitely be up for a ride on it. In the meantime here's a few pics from a great day out.
P.S. What was the "Team Manky" headboard all about?

=D> Fantastic trip, well done to Andy, the loco. crews.support crew and all concerned with a memorable trip, shades of 45562 and 45647 with the SO Poole-Bradford in 1966!.Everybody had a laugh at my expense after we had passed through the long tunnels on the Hope Valley line,as,although I wasn't looking out of the window, there was enough clag coming through the open toplight to completely cover my head and shoulders with ashes,I was nearly as bad as the smokebox door on 45407!!.

    Hello all !

Seems like The Tin Bath was a success all round, looked well loaded, ran to time, broke new ground and ruined Ralphs hat #-o !
I really wanted to ride on this but was a bit short of funds at the time, Please can we have another run? [-o<
Great to see the standard up top, both locos looked stunning, although 45407 less so after a while ! Looks like 76079 certainly earned its corn !

Heres my video from the day,

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDQAMTj67xA

I was blighted by the sun especially at Penistone,(you did warn me Stuart!) but you cant win em all !
A great day, hope it happens again soon.

    Kind regards,

    Matt.
