Does it excist any "international day for heritage railways? It seems to me that it excist an international day for almost all aspect`s , and if the heritage railways already not have one, it certainly deserves one!:)

In fact, 2 December is "the international day of model railways" (yes, it`s true!)

    Knut:)

Well I've found "Badger Day" October 6th (I s**t you not!).

Guess what ..... you're right, I'm not unduly enamoured of any such "day's", including my own birthday and crimbo .... to my mind, the implication is that, having one day on which we're all supposed to 'be aware' of this, that, or t'other, for the other 364 days per year it can be roundly ignored with a clear conscience.

.........(stomps off muttering indistinctly to his empty tea mug...)

Totally agree. I remember someone tried to get me to celebrate a random world peace day or something a year or two ago; "What on earth for!?" I asked, seeing as I was perfectly pro-peace the other 364 days of the year, and it seemed a bit daft celebrating world peace on a random day (it wasn't armistice Day or anything like that) when there are currently plenty of wars in God knows where.
