Past me at Sebastopol barking up the 1 in 95.
Seemed a bit close to the preceeding unit bearing in the mind the length of the sections here, hope it gets a clear run through Abergavenny.

  2. I hope someone is on Llanvihangel. Should be quite a sight!

Just a few minutes down but going like the proverbial at Moreton-on-Lugg signal box North of Hereford.

Nice to hear "four bells" again on the block bells at a mechanical box and a steam express appears....

    And here is the result...
The signal was pulled off just as she rounded the bend but she was down to walking pace. Looking forward to seeing other's results further up the Marches.

Going by the 6201 timings she was 10 mins late through Filton Abbey Wood. I managed to see the train at Temple Meads prior to going up to Filton. Here are a couple of shots I took.

Well got into Preston from home at 1800 roughly, loco was there with one of them smelly red things on the front. Then it buggered off with stock. No camera with me, phone had no battery and now I'm back at the flat I'm not hiking back to the station to see it for 10 minutes or a potential no show! Lol.. Oh well, roll on the Scot tomorrow!!

I dont know the Bristol area myself, but looking at the Youtube video mentioned above by No.7, that looks a mighty impressive climb of a 1-75 bank! 11-on, and no diesel on the rear.

a 37 from WCRC arrived and parked at the north end of platform 6 at preston minutes before tangmere rolled up to it and was attached, they took off to carnforth just before the edinburgh I was to get??? so I missed me train cos the 37 and tangmere set off a good 30 seconds before the 185, I'd have got on it only I thought it must be going ahead, heath and safety would have had the signal man up before the beak!
