    Mark,
Yes, Herston Works will be open both Saturday and Monday from just before the railtours arrive until about the time they leave. Ron would love to meet you, and any other railtour patrons [or anyone in fact !], and take you on a guided tour of Southern Locomotives' current activities.
    More walking involved [Approx 15 - 20 mins max. ?] -
Out of Station, turn left into Rempstone Road and go to end where the 'T' junction is controlled by traffic lights, turn left into Victoria Avenue. Walk along V. Ave for about half a mile until you reach a Texaco garage just after which is the right turn into Herston Industrial Estate. Herston Works is the big building at the back with large roller shutter doors. Don't leave it too late to set off ready to catch your railtour home.
On arrival at Swanage you can get Hot & Cold drinks, Sandwiches, basic hot meals, and the shop has plenty of stock including limited issues of celebratory Mugs and T-Shirts. The town's shops, pubs and cafes are also aware of the arrival of both trains !
The weather forecasts are looking hopeful [-o<

I've edited my original post due to brain failure ..... #-o ](*,)

Herston Works open on Saturday and Monday [not Sunday !].

Hope anyone having to use London Underground manages to get their way around the various closures.

Look forward to seeing railtour particpants - we've tried to arrange Sunny afternoons for you all [-o< =D> \:D/ 8-[

47245 may not be the booked diesel for the diesel legs of these two tours. There's a possibility that WCRC might use 37706.
