I'm visiting Swanage on Wednesday this week and would appreciate any help regarding the steam locomotives please. I know it's the second day of the Wareham services, so there will be 37518 and 33025 on the Wareham service.

    Thanks in advance :)

80146 and 33111 on 6 coach trains, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. There after 80146 on 5 coach trains.

D6515 and 37518 on Wareham duty.

80146 and 33111 top & tail 6 coach services between Swanage and Norden . Normal 5 coach rake supplemented to 6 to cope with expected increased demand - but loop not long enough at Swanage to run round 6 hence the t&t operation.
D6515 and 37518 top & tail the 4 coach WCRC rake between Swanage & Wareham with D6515 leading towards Wareham at present.

The Std tank handled the Norden service on its own today so presumably the 6th coach was dropped off.

Thanks to everyone for your help - it was indeed 80104/146 on a 5 coach set yesterday. She made a rather lovely noise leaving Corfe Castle on the 11:20 ex-Norden.

I've never been overly impressed by Standard 4 tanks, I much prefer the tender versions myself, but 80104 has certainly gone some way to changing that!

My footage from yesterday at the Swanage Railway with no.80104 (running as 80146) in charge, 49 years and 361 days after the real 80146 hauled the final steam passenger service on the branch...

Some photos also of 37518 and D6515 in action on the Wareham shuttles. You don't need a Facebook account to view... I hope! :p
