34070 on the steam diagram, and the DMU on the diesel diagram. There will be a Class 33 out and about around Swanage shunting the railtour set and shunt releasing the steam service, but it will not be working on the diesel diagram.

It will be 34070; the day's steam loco carries on for the one extra trip.

Many thanks, as ever. Despite my preference for 33s, I do enjoy travelling by dmu and 34070 is also a bit wonderful.
It promises to be an exciting day...

Had a great day out at Swanage last Saturday. Took good photos of the 50s in the Corfe area, and even had the briefest of journeys behind a 33, which was used to work our train in to the bay after the arrival of the charter. So I had dmu, BoB & 33 for haulage and a pair of 50s to phot. Fantastic!
Any planned workings for the 33s?

My usual question about planned locos for the coming week. Thanks!

31806 on service trains this week, with 30053 out on Monday on a freight training day. The Class 108 DMU will be on the diesel diagram.

Yes, 31806 is facing Wareham. Of the fleet for this summer, 30053 will be the only one that faces Swanage due to the position of the water tower in Swanage.

30120 is due to arrive Tuesday and Wednesday (tender and loco respectively), and will then be tested before entering traffic; I will update this thread as and when it is rostered to be in traffic.

Can anyone tell me what's lined up for the August Bank Holiday weekend?

I'm coming on my annual pilgrimage to Swanage.

    Thanks

Thanks Steve. I'd already seen the web site, and that was all it told me, so I was asking if anyone knew anything more!
