    Hi All,

    apologies if this is in the wrong place, but can anyone let me know of any place in the UK that sells firing irons for steam locos? I know that HSS sell them, but they seem to be more for traction engines rather than locos.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    I am looking at this problem myself. My intention is to measure some fire irons and have them copied, fortunately there is a good traditional blacksmith in Buxton. I would also suggest a call to Locomotive Maintenance Services at Loughborough.
