    I think this is a match stiking pate from a SR rest 0 first open.

    anyone know?

    Yes I am an active volunteer
    Certainly a match striking plate and obviously of southern origin. However, as such things were fitted in virtually every compartement of every coach (except non-smoking) on all railways, I doubt that it can be tied down to a particular type of coach.

    i know what coach its from, but didnt know it was common to all coaches or that for certain it was a match striker.
