Whilst other railway company ships have been covered in numerous books (LNER, S&DJR etc) I have seen very little around ships that were operated by GWR - notably the liner tenders in Plymouth.

Does anyone know of anything about? Given the GWR 175th anniversary next year I'd be interested to see if anything nautical could be arranged to commerate the GWR's nautical connections. Some background information would be very useful!

    Cheers
    Chris

You may well already have it, but 'Plymouth Ocean Liner Port of Call' by Alan Kittridge (Twelveheads Press, ISBN 0-906294-30-4) has got a fair bit of detail on the tenders at Millbay and the development (and subsequent decline) of the docks.

Thanks, I have most of Alan's books but not that one. Will look out for copy.
