    The abutments to the bridge you mentioned Fred are still in place, as they are at Hesketh Bank where the swing bridge crossed the River Douglas, however, the bridge itself has long gone. There is a footbridge that can be seen from the A565 which is situated next to the site of the railway bridge, it is however a more modern affair.

    I forgot about 44767 and 75029, I don't think 50850 survived the cutter's torch though, which is a real shame

    I can confirm however that there is also a "Hesketh Park" totem still in situ at the site of Hesketh Park station - but not too many people know where !

    There's a "Banks" totem not more than 100yds from the site of Banks station, and again not many people know the whereabouts, or the existence of it. There's more of the old line than perhaps people realise
