Times were on RTT but don't appear to be now. Wonder what the issue is as they looked to be the usual path this trip.

Feeling a bit more confident that this could run without a diesel now there's no Victoria start, but unfortunately the previous trips around this December date have always been assisted heavily ! I assume it's still booked via MML ?

Just a thought but how about engine out of gauge. ?Know it was a long time ago and a Coro' has been over recently ,but so had 46233 been Ely /March /Peterborough. They were banned on the MML in steam days ,too wide over the cab I was told when I was a youngster.

The Steam Dreams jaunt to Minehead now leaves Victoria not Paddington. Could that have a knock on effect for this train also wanting to use Victoria?

There is a path on RTT direct via Leicester now instead of via Corby and Melton Mowbray.

Interesting. That's not showing up on the SD site yet. What's your source?

[edit] Don't worry - seen it on RTT...

The bridge in question was near Kibworth.Cleared for steam and class 70s 2-3 years ago .Last steam was 80098 on 17/09/2000 on a round trip Northampton -Kettering - Market Harboro etc PS ,I forgot the top secret move by Tornado one afternoon a couple of years ago, it was down as a DMU Brent to Derby on realtime.

Interesting. Let's hope you're right. I can't help worrying - the Duchess is a little broader in the hips than Tornado...

Let hope it all knits in at Kettering North Jnc. There is a freight booked to overtake 46233 in Kettering Station at 0.945 going via Corby, steam departs 09.47 ,there is a Nottingham to St Pancras booked to pass north Jnc at 09.52.Then a Corby train 10.00 from Kettering .A Corby train had to be cancelled on the first Flying Scotsman trip last summer.,long section from North Jnc to Corby. Double tracking still being worked on.

That explains the lengthy stop at Kettering then . They have taken water there in the past . Thanks for clearing that up .

Both of these timings say diesel hauled. Is that normal for steam?

On RTT, yes. Massive loads and occasionally 'fun' 'timings' speeds are also features!
