I believe the last daytime run was this one, by Bittern, back when she ran as Dominion of New Zealand.

At Paddington. Decent weather for it, too.

I've been tracking it on RTT, looks to have been going extremely well so far. Just left the water stop at Oxford 1 early. I'm looking forward to seeing it arrive into Worcester, and the ECS move across the viaduct and back. This could potentially be the last ever time it comes here before Mr Cameron retires it, so I may have a tear or two in my eye this afternoon!

Thanks for sharing. It is, of course, stating the very obvious that light travels faster than sound, but twice on your video when you were using a long zoom, you can see a whiff of white smoke coming from just under the chimney and there's then a distinct gap before you hear the sound of the chime whistle. I don't think I've ever noticed this phenomenon on a video before

Some have been known to cheat and and move the whistle section of the sound track to fit with the steam from the whistle.....

But then the audio is out of sync for when the loco passes. Unless you use two mics and lots of dubbing. It's time consuming either way.

Had some fun following 60009 around today-

    Culham this morning:

    Arriving at Moreton in Marsh

Approaching the level crossing at Paxford

The return leg speeds past a foot crossing, between Bredon and Ashchurch.

Turn up your speakers to see and hear Number 9 roaring up Sapperton Bank this evening unassisted.

I didn't plan to go out this evening, but seeing as the weather forecast was looking vaguely promising, I was tempted out after work to see no.9 before her appearance at Didcot. Two shots from South Stoke...
