Railworld has accomplished the start up of it's ALco S1 locomotive.
It was started on the 4th July for the first time since 1985 when it was withdrawn from Margam Steelworks in Wales.
With help from the boys from Longhoughton where sister locomotive 801 also sits beside the ECML and also has been started and 801 has moved under her own power, it is hoped to move 804 under her own power within weeks.

    Photos soon.

It is hoped to restore her to her former glory by March next year in British Steel Blue.

It is planned that 804 is started up at weekends during working parties around 1pm and 4pm.
