Dear all,

I started to pull a list together of major German steam events aimed at photographers and as it has now developed a bit I thought others may find it useful. Please check with the organisers that the details are correct and contact them to make any bookings etc (eg I am not liable for this gen!!)

13.2 1000T coal trains on the private line Hamm RLG – Schmehausen The loco will run in Ruhrkohle outfit with number RAG D 727, as witnessed during 60s / early 70s.

14.2 Saturday the loco (now numbered 80 039) will haul heavy trains on the Hammer Hafenbahn.

02-06 April 2010:

Opening event "175 Jahre Deutsche Eisenbahnen and 20 years of Plandampf in Germany". Some hundred special and scheduled trains along the Mosel valley and through the Eifel mountains. Additional trains before and after the main event as vintage material is transferred to and from location.
