PS Monarch, the 42 foot paddle steamer built in 1983, will be running trips over the bank holiday weekend.
All trips depart from Wareham Quay in Dorset. No booking required. Trips last 30-40 minutes, cost £7 and include tea or coffee. Trips are tide dependant and will start mid to late morning, until late afternoon.

Just looked again at the website. Phone liz on the contact us page, not Russ on the timetable page!

Should add trips are now longer and price has risen to £10 to reflect this. Tea or coffee still free!

Just a reminder that Monarch will be running for the first time on Saturday the 26th (weather depending) Sat, Sun and Mon. Prices held from last year. All running dates for the season will be added to the website shortly.

    Wareham Quay (Dorset) from 1130.

Sorry no, only over the Easter weekend. Experience has shown there is no one about after Easter until May, especially when Easter is so early. If there is a group of you (up to 12) contact the owner though the website to see what he can do, or PM me and I will do it for you.

Thank you for your interest in the website. We certainly will be running Sat, Sun and Monday. I am crewing on the Sunday which will be the first time I have been on it when in steam this year. First sailing times will be around 1130 am. Actual times will be posted on the website probably Thursday, as the owner is away I can't ask him right now.

Are you around the Mining Museum at Norden during the weekend after next - Diesel Gala?
If so, I'll see you in the Norden Kiosk on Sunday 8th no doubt.

We are no longer running tomorrow. This is due to poor tide times and the weather. Check the website for next sailings

Turned out not to be the fuel tanks. However they have been replaced as they were coming to the end of their life, rest assured no fuel entered the river.
