    The Isle of Wight Steam railway are holding a diesel gala Sept 30th -2nd Oct. If there is any any Diesel/electric owner/ group or society that would like to come along with a small stand ( we have tables) and promote your cause we would be very pleased to see you. It does not have to be for all 3 days.
    This is our first real diesel gala and the 05 will be in operation with 03 2059 and guest loco 03 197 on the passenger services. Come along and promote your scheme! For more details please contact Liz Tagart (Events officer) on 01983 882204 or lizt@iwsteamrailway.co.uk

    We have 3 newly rebuilt 5 plank wagons in dark brown and a shark brake van which would look good behind it and would not burn your motor out! Might cost you a bit to get it here though

    You could try clockwork although the key would probably foul Long Arch bridge! More seriously I wonder if that safety valve cover would hit the said structure

    Enjoyed Sunday's trip to iow steam rally, Morris minor rally was brilliant. Do you do that every year if so may be a yearly event for me to put in diary.

    Tony Glad you enjoyed the day. This is a 3rd party event organised by the club. If they decide to hold it again on the field then that is up to them. The event has grown year on year and it was definitely the most moggies I have seen in one place before.I hope they will be back next year as it was a very pleasant day. The morris dancers were an inspired touch and so many of them too.
