    A notable feature of the railways in southeastern Europe is the number of steam locos that survive, either formally preserved and plinthed, or dumped and forgotten in a depot. In the Balkans, the locos sometimes exemplify the territorial shifts that have taken place. Here are shots of 15 locos taken in former Yugoslavia, Bulgaria and Turkey.

    Excellent pictures, thanks for sharing them - there is something facinating about images of locos slowly dissapearing into the undergrowth ....
    It looks as if the 2-10-0 with the Speke Junction treatment had been in use? - or had it been dragged from somewhere?
