Brighton station is a nice station to photo in, light and airy with the long curved overall roof. The western side for trains to WOrthing has a wall so can set off the trains quite well. Photgraphy works well at either the bufferstops or the town end

Preston Park, like may stations on the line, provides a good general shot but nothing special, as with Three Bridges and most stations between he two

One of the big photo hotspots is the legendary Clayton Tunnel, with views from the road bridge (best to use a car although with a walk up alongside the line on the footpath you can get there from Hassocks station)

Going north the next real gem is Copyhold Junction (only accessible by car) where the Ardingly branch converges. There is a weekly stone train here, on a Thursday, whcih runs down the Haywards Heath tne runs round and heads north

Redhill is a favourite among photgraphers due to the variety of trains and also the layout

South Croydon provides a good view of the approaches to East Croydon and has the variety of trains without the hubbub, good for photters who want a bit of peace and quiet
