UK Steam lists this for 45699/TBA. Does anyone have more definite information?

What may be the ECS was in a siding at Stafford this evening with a 47/57 at each end. No smoke from either ;-)

Train just left Cannock right time. Very well loaded. Class 57 leading. Weather glorious - let's hope it holds.

image.jpeg image.jpeg Good run. RT ex Hellifield with 48151. Dropped off 47 at Hellifield

2e into Appleby water stop. Talking to driver he said he eased off after Ribblehead as loco was running well.

Great to see well loaded train, train crew and signallers working to generate a good day. Few snaps on the iPhone.

As it is load 12 with the support coach decision was made to use the 8 rather than Galatea. She was chattering away well all the way to top, now drifting along from the water and ice cream stop at Appleby..

Mrs W and I watched it at Helwith Bridge; very nice surprise to see 48151, no surprise how competently it was handling the 12 coaches. Thanks for your post Ralph, Mrs W was concerned if there would be ice cream available at Appleby - and there was!

The rear diesel had a problem so both returned to Carnforth where the demic was dropped off and a replacement attached and both then came direct to Carlisle. However the trials and tribulations continue. NR have informed us that owing to a points failure at Rugeley we cannot access the branch to Walsall etc. Therefore we have to go on to Litchfield, return north to Rugeley from were we can then access the correct line.
