There are rumours circulating that the miniature railway at Peco has had a serious boiler accident this summer with one of their locomotives, which resulted in the driver being hospitalised. Does anyone know if this is true, in which case surely it is of great interest to all other steam railways so any mistakes can be learnt from to prevent a repeat accident, or is it all a malicious fabrication?

The miniature railway grapevine has been silent - suspect mercifully only a rumour

Unfortunately it is my understanding that they have had an incident. I would rather not say any more publically at present as my knowledge of the incident is third hand, and I would rather someone from Peco had the opportunity to respond - if they are able to, as I assume a HSE investigation will be underway.

Let us hope it is rumour or over developed thought. Usually tv and press get wind of drama.
