Old railway wagon tank?

    Hello,
    Just came on here to say that we are going to remove an old tank that we use for diesel.
    I was told that it was originally off a railway wagon, but I may be wrong.
    If it's any use to anyone they can have it for scrap price. Seems a shame to cut it up, it's a very well made tank.
    It's about 20' long.

    No great shortage of these in my view. However if it has discharge pipework underneath we'd potentially be interested in one (or both) of the valves off it to replace a broken one on another vehicle. PM me.

    It looks like one, the tanks were often separate entities to the wagons, with the wagon belonging to the railway company and the tank belonging to the customer (Dairy, oil company etc)
