Our illustrious leader has started the new season off a bit early, maybe just priming us up for a busy winter out on the track.

Good to see the crane working again. With that and the C &W one allegedly back in working order and the 15T Coles progressing we'll be awash with them before we know it!

After a bit of a gap in reports we have a double dose this week but mainly on just one worksite.

    http://www.nymr.co.uk/2015/11/civil-engineering-diary-5-november-2015/

We are starting off fairly quietly with a couple of little rerails.
This one between Hunting Bridge and Kingthorpe which should be complete this week then the gang moves to Levisham North for another rerail site.
Then our fun is spoilt for a bit because the Loco Crews are getting bored and want to play with their engines for a few weeks.

I will add in a quick update on some of our vehicles.
In Newbridge shed we have the 15t Coles crane undergoing repaint and repair. Coded welding is required on the jib.
Tamper 73250 is undergoing some Bodywork repair and repaint as well as installing computer control.
The Borail has had weld repairs to the side loading cranes.
The Seacow is undergoing relacement of rusted platework in the hopper, The Air brake system has been overhauled.
The RUDD spoil wagon is having a Vac through pipe added but will retain its Air brake system, this has also been overhauled.

    Another week another update.

One point to add about the photo above showing the inside of Newbridge shed.
Everything in the photo, including the building, other than the rails on the BORAIL has been bought by York Area Group and the majority of it paid for by our efforts in recycling mainly newsprint and scrap.

Sunday dawned with sun, so the big boys toys came out to play.
Well actually we were continuing with a Tamper training session.
A curve from a relay a couple of years back needed a run through so as the Tamper has just had a computer system added to it, we used it as a trial and training session.
Results appear to be very good and this will continue over the next week or so. Including the latest relay site at Kingthorpe.
Besides the tamper the Regulator was out as well brushing up behind.
Today, folowing more stone drops a rerail site was ploughed out ready for tamping then the relay site.

    That was yesterday.
What a difference a day makes.
    This was today.

20170406_162035.jpg Latest installment of Nigel's news.
    The work goes on.

As mentioned in the blog, some of the timber has been recovered back to Newbridge.
    2 Weltrols full at least.

Also latest progress on the Sealion which seems to be in better condition than the previous Sealion.
Although I hope I am not jinxing the project by saying that.
Air tank removed for test and bodywork being needled and painted.
