Mod recruitment

The team as a whole feel that we would like to add to the existing staff, to improve and increase the level of coverage by forum staff to ensure we keep up with handling member's problems and enquiries, and the general day to day running of the forum.

We are looking initially for people who would be interested to submit their interest to myself via email.

It is open to absolutely anyone, regardless of age, sex, background etc.

When emailing me your details, (in strictest confidence) please let me know the following information:

Your user name
Your real name
A bit about yourself and why you are interested in becoming a mod.

Your contributions on the forum will also be looked at.

I will have a paper sort, and decide along with the rest of the staff who we feel are suitable candidates.

I would like to see who is interested in the job and prepared to put the effort in. Please consider that being a mod can at times be hard work. You will not please everyone all the time, so you must have the ability to remain neutral, step back and take a balanced view.

Email me at ben@national-preservation.com, all applications will remain confidential. And successful applicants will be contacted one week after the application closes. The deadline for applications will close 2359 1st of March.

Doesn't seem too bad on the face of it, I'm sure some mods will add to this though... ;-)

Time and half for all overtime mid week,

Double time Saturdays, treble time for Sundays, Bank Hols and suchlike...

Book your hols when you like, (as long as you log on now and then... :-k ...)


Obviously all holidays are paid at the day rate, don't expect enhanced pay if on your hols at weekend etc...

Rota: 24hr 365 days a year....

Yep...... Whatever overtime rate you want, any multiple of 0 is still 0!

(It is worth pointing out that it can be useful for CV stuff...... might have made a thing of this place when I got my current job)

 

Yes whilst you are a mod. You will be quite welcome to ask me for a reference for a job.
Prospective employers really like people who will give there time for no reward other than learning skills.

I personally think this has to be a strong and willing individual as Ben has said to see things from everybody's posts and then act upon them when they get out of control? Maybe we can take a vote on some ideal candidates?

Just a quick note to say thanks to all those who have expressed an interest so far

 

The selection process of mods will be undertaken by the admin / moderator team, as I understand it has always been. We will look carefully at all the candidates, when they are known to us after the deadline has expired.
