Just a quick question. Is the loco roster still the same as that proposed for the original event (92212, 5224 and 60019)? Looking forward to getting some steam in my lungs again!

I have just been informed that there will be shunting demonstrations at Alton with the 08, and at Alresford with the 33.

Please look at the WTT for what times these will be.

This is looking better every minute.

    Regards
    Chris

Hopefully it will be 850 with 92212 and 5224 as I am yet to get a run behind LN over the Alps.
60019 now has extra ML work replacing 34067 on a charter from Paddington to Bristol on the 13th so I guess she will be undergoing prep for this and the move up to London anyway.

60019 wont have to go up to London until midweek. Its really not that in advance to prepare a loco for mainline.

Correct on all three. 60019 came back tender first from her last ML stint.

Roster will be 5224 facing Alton . 92212 Facing Alresford , 850 Facing Alresford 60019 facing Alton(spare in light steam) There are some things that need doing to 60019 before main line work so its spare.
Just to let you know a lack of info isnt restricted to web sites . One of the drivers rostered for tomorrow doesnt know what he is on yet ..Hope this helps David

Why are you so anti 60019? If it brings people to the railway and spend money that has to be a good thing.

They aren't anti 60019. But maybe the reason why they aren't using her is because she is doing a main line rail tour next weekend and she maybe being prepared for her main line exam?

You misunderstand me. I know why 60019 is only on standby duty. I was asking Linesidephotos why he as an individual was so anti 60019 as he is so keen to see it leave the MHR.
