    Hi all,

Anybody got names of places that can spin smokebox doors? (and other large round bits)

There was allegedly a place in Rotherham, but the word on the ground is that they have gone...

    Appreciate any ideas.

    Cheers
    James

I was sure I'd posted something on here last night! Must have been dreaming. However...

You can try the Leeds & Bradford Boiler Co. http://www.lbbc.co.uk

They have done a couple of smokebox doors for me in the past and I know of others who have used them. The only problem is if you want a very tight radius on the edges but this would probably apply to any metal spinning.

I'm pretty sure that Andy Bennett Boilers of Somerset made a new smoke box ring and door for 6024.They were fitted at Yeovil Junction about 8 years ago. Colin
