Hi all I hear that 50035 is going to be painted in Load Haul livery. I know that this livery was never applied to class 50s. But I always like this livery on class 56s and 37s.

Is "Ark Royal" going into this Livery for mainline work or is this just a Livery for trial?

I dunno, i've heard a rumour about 50's possibly getting some "interesting" work in a year or so's time.

But 'Load Haul' bit strang don't you think? I mean 'Load Haul' on an express passenger loco, beyond me but oh well, for 'Interesting' work surely large logo is the best? Instead of something random and unauthentic!? Christ if you want 'Interesting' work bring a few 56's back, common sense eh........

Put it this way, it's come from so far out of left-field even Owen Hodgson on his Fictitious liveries hasn't actually done it. And he's done most other combinations!

Being a member of the wnxx.net forum, I can tell you that Load Haul is the gibbering moron diesel fan's livery of choice, and the very mention of it will make them weak at the knees (as well as the head). You wouldn't believe how much frothing has been going on since this repaint was announced. #-o

Hopefully, this will lead to a lot of interest and increased revenue for 50035, as it will no longer be "yet another large-logo 50", although you might want to stay away from the first coach on tours. 8-[

In my experience the same happens with class 37s, so I'd imagine a 37 being painted LoadHaul might cause a riot

Yes! Heaven forbid they actually paint a 37 in Loadhaul livery! Whatever could happen?!

James, maybe you could consider posting your opinions on 'on gibbering moron diesel fans' on wnxx itself rather than bottling then up here in this quiet neck of the woods.

50035 should look quite hell when it's completed =D>
