A former LNER fish van, purchased by the LNER Coach Association from a private owner at Wansford, has now arrived on the NYMR. Although purchased primarily for use as a stores vehicle it is hoped to restore it to running order for occasional use on Gala events - fish vans of this type - and perhaps even this particular van - were often attached to trains running over the Whitby-Pickering line in the 1950s.

There is a grounded body of a fish van at Colchester, which might be E75205 (needs confirming).

Perhaps this could either provide spares or else also be restored if a suitable underframe could also be acquired?
