With the weight, was that a full scale viaduct when they first pulled onto it?

It is not high enough to Ribblehead and it's in the wrong direction for Carnforth

    OOC - Hanwell Bridge Loop
    http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U55185/2017/10/16/advanced
Stewarts Lane - Hanwell Bridge Loop - Paddington
    http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U55182/2017/10/16/advanced
    and return
    http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U55183/2017/10/16/advanced

The return ECS would connect into the Hanwell Bridge Loop - Didcot GWS ECS.

Odd but there are no other suitable STP schedules live but there is this VSTP schedule around the Greenford Loop.
    http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/O35326/2017/10/16/advanced

60163 was at OOC, but can't remember it moving after the open day.
ECS from and returning to Stewarts Lane infers Belmond British Pullman. If the stock is BBP is must be a private charter as there is nothing on their website advertised for today.

Anyone in the area with free time may get an unusual photo or two!

    Cheers, Neil

Just seen some tweets on Twitter and it is indeed Tornado on the Belmond.

It seems to be an event to do with the launch of the Paddington Bear sequel with Prince William, Prince Harry and Kate Middleton as well as children they've chosen for a special journey.

    Thanks for posting

I wonder why West Coast is still the operator and why it has to go around the carnforth loop, does LS have any (steam) mainline drivers yet? I'm not complaining as I live on the Carnforth loop.

Presumably the WCRC "loop" is still used because of the mix of gradients and the nearness of Hellifield to Carnforth in case of problems.

And it looks as if Carnforth stock is being used, so the run from Crewe to Carnforth is the light loaded run.
