    Path is limited to 50mph, would that not be the 8F?

    Weight is related to the pathing/acceleration rather than the physical weight of the train.

    If the Dalesman is loaded to 13 bogies the 8F might be needed for the Hellifield out and backs.

    It forms 1Z63 to Cardiff Central, and later returns to Paddington. The Champions League is in Cardiff on Saturday evening with GWR running extra Up trains in the late evening, which is also when this working returns to Paddington...my guess is therefore that it's related to the football, given the unusual departure and return times make it seem unlikely that this is a railtour.

    As stated in the previous item it is the stock for the football train - it's perfectly straightforward to follow it through on RTT which is why I assumed the question to be what vehicles are involved. Albeit the times have put it into p.2 at Victoria before the engine behind 1Z82 has gone!
    ;
    Thee is no sign of any times for the Peak Forester though, nor movement of 46233 from Crewe HC to London - I'm guessing it will be on Saturday to avoid having to do two FTR exams?

    Totally supportive of Mr Smith and WCRC??????? Do you actually read this forum, its full of people constantly having a pop at them at every opportunity and the glee from many which reacted to their problems the other year just illustrated that more.

    is it limited to 50 due to brake force by only taking one coach? Just thinking having seen the film of it or was the speed of the path ignored and the engine and POB ran at line speed throughout?

    Hard to know what the cause and effect arrangement is really. If there is criticism it does not need to define the response but perhaps a negative reaction is inevitable. My point was that taking pride in finishing 35018 in a way befitting of completing an otherwise vintage restoration would generate universal acclaim. A different finish is certain to draw criticism so a negative cycle persists.
    A reasonable conclusion is that Mr Smith cares little for public perception of him or his businesses which is his choice. Hopefully he will rise above any petty grudges and give 35018 the same show of pride 46115 got.
