    I think the line from Mombasa to Nairobi may be useful given the delays on the existing line. The rest, not to sure. Given the experience on other lines the Chinese have built in Africa, whether the maintenance will be up to scratch must be a further concern.

    The Nairobi railway museum is well worth a visit, although its not that well funded. If you find the right member of staff as we were fortunate enough to do they may take you round the shed on the other side of the tracks where the working steam locos are kept.
