A selection of pictures I've processed so far from Sunday, This event is on the same day as the better known Eastbourne Show and is pretty much the same display. I go here because being on the North Kent Coast the sun is behind you not in your face.

A nice set John. I chose Eastbourne for the view down on the aircraft from Beachy Head.

Thank you, it's also an impressive piece of flying to watch one plane circling round the others as they are moving at 400+ mph. You really do need to be superhuman with nerves of steel to qualify to join these guys.

I will do that one year, as you may have heard one of the light planes in a display team had to ditch in the sea at Herne Bay, thankfully the pilot only suffered a minor head injury. Because of the time taken to sort that out we missed out on the Sea Vixen and the Vampire.

Beachy Head was nearly a washout this year. Excellent passes from BBMF and Spitfire but everything else that passed the head did so at great distance or height. Seems the display controller erred on the side of extreme caution when interpreting the new CAA rules about secondary crowds. Still can't fathom why an aircraft that is over the sea and below the crowd can be considered an danger to them, especially as the two aforementioned items gave us the usual low level opportunities.

The public were not allowed out on the breakwater this year which was a bit odd as it's no further out to sea than the sea wall where I was. We were warned over the PA that some of the displays would be further out to sea this year but I didn't notice any change and the max reach of my lens is 500mm which coped with it if it was.
