    The first batch had a standard no2 boiler but later builds had the larger std no4 and earlier locos were soon altered to match.

    Tenders were mainly 3000 gallon with a few with the 3500 gallon version. That was so until the early 30s when withdrawals began. The survivors where then paired with tenders salvaged from withdrawn ROD 2-8-0s. WWII delayed their final demise until 1948.
