    Olly - can I just hijack your thread. I was out on BS2 Thursday and we needed a sign THIS IS NOT A GALA

    On duty today was

    7812 on BN1 the blood & custards.
    34053 on BS1 LNER teaks
    4566 on BS2 LMS
    1450 + W238 on a supreme footplate experience
    43106 on a saloon charter

    Just a normal table B weekday really

    Readers may wish to know that Olly5764 survived his two days with me, acquitting himself well on shovel, regulator and brake. Fortunately, I didn't have to label anything, although to judge by the quality of some of the stuff we shovelled on Thursday afternoon, and what it did to the fire, "This is not coal," would have been a completely appropriate notice!

    Thanks JTX, once it finally decided to burn though, by hell did it go! The down side to Welsh Coal with a pile of slack in the centre of the bunker.
